Concert at Meydenbauer Theatre features acclaimed musicians to raise awareness and funds for cancer immunotherapy treatment and research at Seattle Children’s Hospital & Research Institute.

SEATTLE –Two-Time GRAMMY Nominee Mindi Abair and her band The Boneshakers headline the eighth annual In Concert for Cancer benefit.

Mindi Abair and The Boneshakers Mindi Abair has been electrifying audiences with her dynamic live performances and utter command of the saxophone since her debut album in 2000. After eight successful solo albums, the two-time GRAMMY nominated saxophonist, singer, songwriter teamed up with powerhouse Detroit band The Boneshakers, and released the critically acclaimed debut Mindi Abair and The Boneshakers LIVE in Seattle in September of 2015. Followed by the critically acclaimed 2017 studio recording, The East West Sessions, which earned the band 8 Independent Blues Awards Their new release No Good Deed drops on June 28, 2019

In Concert for Cancer is an annual concert benefit that shares the inspirational power of live music performances with cancer fighters, survivors, caregivers and communities--while raising awareness and funding for immunotherapy cancer treatment and research. The event is sponsored by Pacific Office Automation, Continental Properties, Seattle Genetics, 425 Magazine, W Hotel Bellevue, Quilceda Creek, Jazz Alley & Pacific Jazz Institute, NW Event Show, King Lasik and Professional Benefit Services, Inc.

Team Strong Against Cancer at Seattle Children’s Hospital is leading the charge in the development and delivery of Immunotherapy, the next great advancement in cancer treatment. Through cellular engineering, immunotherapy enables the body’s own immune system to heal itself, without the harsh and often lifelong side effects of chemotherapy and radiation.
